New beginnings? Hardly

     One look at today's picture should inspire me to write about new beginnings, new opportunities, a new day. It should scream for an article about how we all experience a new beginning like a new morning. Second chances that we are given and how we should seize on these opportunities to improve ourselves. No?
     How about this. We need to take time to stop and enjoy the beauty of the earth because it is fleeting much like sunrise. if you don't catch it at the right moment you may miss it. We need to slow down and smell the roses, admire nature and all the beauty that surrounds us. Okay, a little corny. So lets try this.

 I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
~Joyce Kilmer, "Trees," 1914

I do like this but it is not what I am looking for today, so lets try to go a little Doogie Howser today......

I set out this morning with nothing in mind. Saw the sunrise over the airport. (Notice the plane landing in the background.) Turned out to be a wonderful day. Warm winds to sail by. What could be better than that.....
